May 23 and 24, 2010: CELEBRATING REVOLUTIONARY RESISTANCE, 20 Yrs After Pipe Bomb Attack on Earth First!ers Judi Bari and Darryl Cherney

 Revolutionary Ecolology -  a commemoration and a celebration of revolutionary resistance. 

The 20th anniversary of the pipe bomb attack on Judi Bari, Darryl Cherney and attack on Earth First! on May 24, 1990 will be recognized in events in the Bay Area over the course of 2 days: 

Sunday, May 23  7:00pm
La Pena Cultural Center (3105 Shattuck Berkeley)
Speakers include Ramona Africa  from MOVE in Philadelphia and other activists
Live music will feature Darryl Cherney, Alicia Littletree and others
The event will include a film tribute to Judi, exciting historical exhibit and more. 

 Monday, May 24  Marking the moment
People from near and far will gather at 11:30am to mark the moment of the bomb explosion (just before noon) at the site in Oakland that it blasted through Judi's car, nearly killing her and forever changing the Earth First! movement.  There will be speakers, music, and a speak-out.
