Know and assert your rights!
When: August 22, 2009 1:00pm
Where: Peoples' Action for Rights and Community
Do you know what to do when approached by police? On the street? In your car or home? Do you know what to do when encountered by other government
agents? Do your children know?
Redwood Curtain CopWatch invites you to a Know Your Rights Workshop on Saturday, August 22nd at PARC in Eureka, beginning at 1:00pm
We will discuss what rights each of us have and practice asserting them to protect ourselves when dealing with police or other agents. Also, we'll talk about WATCHING the cops, as a form of protecting each other from police abuse. This workshop, as with all CopWatch events, is FREE and open to ALL AGES. There will be snacks, coffee, and juice.
PARC, or Peoples' Action for Rights and Community, is in the alley off of Q Street, between 3rd and 2nd Streets. Look for the carport with PARC signs.
