Santa Rosa Deputy Who Murdered Albert Leday Jr. June 2nd Has Shot Two Other People in the Past

"...three shootings — most officers go through their career with no shootings — it just raises a lot of concerns.”

'Deputy involved in June 2 shooting involved in two other shootings'

The Sonoma County Sheriff's deputy who shot and killed a man last month in Santa Rosa has been involved in three of the 11 officer-involved shootings that the sheriff's office has recorded this decade.

Sgt. Mark Fuston, who on June 1 killed Albert Mike Leday Jr., 49, after a high speed chase, was one of two deputies who fatally shot a Windsor woman in 2000 after she pointed a toy gun at them. In 2003, he shot and injured a fleeing gang member.

MESSAGE: from Redwood Curtain CopWatcher to Del Norte WatchDog- Regarding Cop with Taser Killing of (unarmed) Man in Crescent City, June 22, 2010

Lenda,
Please encourage the family to request an independent autopsy and for the body to be PRESERVED.

When the system tells a grieving family that they have 'this' many days to cremate or bury, the grieving family usually does it quick and has to rally together the money to pay for it.  PLEASE tell them that they are entitled, if they request and notice the coroner, to an independent forensics testing (not sure how to pay for it, but it would be a forensic pathologist that the family chooses) and that should halt the "destruction" of Daniel's body.

Also, they should work on not allowing the body to be destroyed so that if or when they sue , there is a body to examine.  OFTEN, the coroner's reports (including toxicology) do NOT match up with 1) the injuries that parents have seen on their dead children's bodies and 2) the substances that persons had in them prior to death (i.e. nicotine, marijuana)

A Del Norte County man who assaulted two sheriff's deputies [we can always count on the Times Standard to be the immediately decided judge and jury for an execution by cop] Tuesday morning died after he was shot with a Taser and began having trouble breathing, the Del Norte County Sheriff's Office reported.

Court TODAY for Troy Davis, an Innocent man on Death Row

(CNN) -- On Wednesday the saga of death row inmate Troy Anthony Davis
will begin its last chapter. In an extremely rare ruling last summer,
the United States Supreme Court ordered a federal judge in Georgia to
grant Troy an evidentiary hearing to prove his innocence.

The ruling is unusual in that the Supreme Court has not granted this
writ of habeas corpus in more than 50 years. Their decision is a
strong indication that they are concerned about the constitutionality
of executing the innocent -- as am I.

Although much work still must be done in our justice system to ensure
the innocent do not pay the price of the guilty, the granting of this
evidentiary hearing is a major step for Troy Davis and for many other
likely innocent prisoners sitting on death row; Troy Davis will have
an opportunity to tell his side of the story and new evidence will be
considered in this nearly 20-year-old case.

The hearing will allow the testimony of witnesses who have recanted or
contradicted their original eyewitness testimonies to be heard and
